Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Taiwan Verify, an SMS verification service operated by Taiwan Telecom, Inc. By creating an account, generating an API key, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Service Description

Taiwan Verify provides API-based SMS verification. The service may generate verification codes, return receiving numbers selected by regional routing rules, monitor inbound SMS messages, and send verification results to customer-provided notifyURL endpoints.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of registration information, the security of passwords and API keys, all activity under your account, and the security and availability of your notifyURL endpoints. You must notify us promptly of unauthorized access or suspected key compromise.

Acceptable Use

You may use Taiwan Verify only for lawful verification and anti-abuse workflows. You must not use the service for spam, harassment, fraud, unauthorized surveillance, credential theft, illegal content, evasion of platform rules, or activity that violates telecommunications regulations or third-party rights.

End User Consent

You are responsible for obtaining all required end user consents before initiating verification, for explaining why SMS verification is being used, and for complying with all applicable privacy, consumer protection, and telecommunications requirements in the jurisdictions where you operate.

API and Routing

Receiving numbers may be selected by regional routing rules and may change over time. You must instruct users to send the provided code to the receiving number returned by the API for that specific request. Verification may fail if the user sends a message to a different number, sends the wrong code, or sends the message after expiration.

Availability

We aim to operate a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, delivery of every SMS message, carrier performance, provider uptime, or successful callback delivery. SMS and network services can be affected by carriers, gateways, routing, device state, filtering, and regional restrictions.

Data and Logs

You authorize Taiwan Telecom, Inc. to process verification requests, phone numbers, SMS metadata, SMS content required for code matching, webhook payloads, callback results, account information, and operational logs as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

Suspension

We may suspend or restrict access if we believe your use presents security risk, violates these Terms, causes service disruption, creates legal exposure, or appears abusive or fraudulent.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taiwan Telecom, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. The service is provided on an as-available basis.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
